Located on Embankment Road, on the eastern shore of Bembridge Harbour, is the 97 ft long, historic original Dutch Barge, Rijnstroom IV. Having recently undergone a complete rebuild, she has never looked so good, and never offered a better time to spend your holiday on board this floating masterpiece.
With 5 cabins, one of which is the Captains Suite offering an en-suite cabin and shower room. This cabin also has its own stair case leading up to a separate lounge, with its own balcony. The remaining 4 cabins, 3 doubles and 1 twin, share a main bathroom and a shower room, altogether offering holiday accommodation for up to 10 people. The barge also has a large saloon with fully fitted galley, and a wheelhouse opening onto a large sundeck. Rijnstroom has mains water and electricity and is fully centrally heated throughout.
The views from Rijnstroom across Bembridge Harbour, and the Solent, all the way across to the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth, are to die for. With the tide coming and going twice a day, always at different times, means that the scenery is constantly changing, and coupled with the wildlife in this area, right on the edge of the Brading Marshes Nature Reserve, gives you the most stunning of holiday locations.
Bembridge Harbour offers a vast variety of attractions for the holiday maker to take advantage of, including some of the best white sandy beaches on the island, nature reserve and coastal path walks, pubs, cafés and restaurants, museums, shops and marinas.
Further out into the island are many historical attractions such as Osborne House, Carisbrook Castle, The Needles, and the world renowned home of yachting at Cowes. All easily accessible by car or bus, you will be so amazed by just how much there is to see and do, you will more time to fit it all in.
