1.1 These terms and conditions set out the terms on which we agree to let our caravan or Dutch Barge to you. Guests are expected to behave in a reasonable way while on the Park or in the harbour, and to comply with these terms and conditions.
1.2 We reserve the right to ask Guests who contravene these terms and conditions or, who are behaving in a manner which, in the opinion of the management, is likely to cause distress or nuisance to other visitors, neighbours or members of staff to leave the accommodation immediately. In these circumstances, the holiday booking is cancelled and we shall not be liable for any extra costs incurred by you.
2. Arrival and Departure
2.1 Guests should report to the accommodation on arrival, or to the Sandhills Park reception if instructed to do so.
2.2 Serenity & Rijnstroom IV are available from 3pm on the date of arrival and should be vacated by 10am on the day of departure.
2.3 The caravan and the barge are thoroughly checked before and after being let. Any breakages, damaged or missing items, including keys, which occur during your stay will be charged to you. Misuse of the Saniflow macerator toilets on Rijnstroom IV will result in the full deposit for this item being withheld. We also reserve the right to charge for excessive cleaning incurred after your departure.
2.4 If you are a pet owner, and you are intending to bring your beloved pet with you onto Rijnstroom IV, you will be expected to be an extremely responsible pet owner. Your pooch is NOT allowed on our furniture or beds. You must bring your pets own feed bowls, and bedding. (Please Note: Pets are not permitted at Sandhills Caravan park, ie: Serenity).
3.1 We operate a family friendly business and therefore bookings of all male, female or young people will only be permitted at the sole discretion of the management, and after additional guarantees and or assurances have been arranged.
3.2 Provisional bookings can only be taken if the starting date for the hire is more than 90 days in advance.
3.3 Provisional bookings will be held for a maximum of 14 days. If full payment is not received within that time, we reserve the right to cancel the booking without further notice, and re-open the booking dates.
3.4 The hire charges for Serenity or Rijnstroom IV are expected to be made at the time of booking, provisional bookings and time to pay will be restricted in accordance with 3.2 & 3.3 above.
3.5 On receipt of your booking form and full payment of the hire charges due, we will send you a confirmation of your booking.
3.6 Once your booking confirmation has been issued, if you are forced to cancel your holiday, for whatever reason, we must be notified of your cancellation in writing. Refunds will not be made if your cancellation comes within 90 days of your arrival date. Outside of 90 days, refunds of up to 75% of the total paid will only be made once the dates have been rebooked by another party. We strongly advise you to take out your own holiday insurance to cover possible cancellation of your booking in the event of unforeseen circumstances, and or other events that may occur during the course of your holiday.
3.7 The number of people occupying the accommodation must not exceed the number of berths stated, and the occupants must match exactly as shown on the booking form. Any alteration to guest names must be notified to us in writing, and receive our approval in advance of arrival.
4.1 Serenity & Rijnstroom IV are both non smoking accommodation. Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the vessel or caravan at any time, and smoking is not permitted anywhere onboard Rijnstroom IV
4.2 We regret that no dogs or other pets are permitted on the Sandhills Holiday Park where Serenity is based.
4.3 Children are the responsibility of their parents or guardians AT ALL TIMES while on the park, or onboard Rijnstroom IV or its grounds.
4.4 Kites must not be flown on the Sandhills Holiday Park.
4.5 Games involving hard balls or other dangerous objects may not be played in the vicinity of caravans or boats.
4.6 Refuse must not be left or deposited outside Serenity or Rijnstroom IV. Please use the refuse bins provided.
5.1 If you experience any problems with your accommodations electrical, gas or water systems please contact Sandhills Holiday Park reception if you are on Serenity, or the emergency number provided if you are on Rijnstroom IV. You must not attempt to work on the systems yourself.
5.2 The changing of gas cylinders at Serenity by anyone not expressly authorised to do so by us is prohibited. If you think you may have run out of gas please contact reception. DO NOT try and change gas bottles yourself.
6. Vehicles and Boats
6.1 There is a 10mph speed limited on the Sandhills Holiday Park which must be strictly adhered to at all times, and a 30mph limit on Embankment Road in Bembridge Harbour .
6.2 No vehicle except a private car is permitted onto the Park; motorhomes, lorries; vans and commercial vehicles of any sort are only permitted by prior arrangement.
6.3 Only vehicles taxed and insured for use on a public road may be kept on the Park and we will remove any disused or broken down vehicle.
6.4 All drivers of vehicles on the Park must hold a current driving licence for the category of vehicle driven.
6.5 Unless you are visiting the Sandhills Holiday Park reception on your arrival or departure, your vehicle should be parked next to Serenity. There is an off-road parking bay at the top of the lane opposite Rijnstroom IV, but this is for loading or unloading of your personal belongings and passengers only. Overnight or extended parking spaces are provided further along Embankment Rd.
6.6 Guest car passes should be displayed in their cars at all times when on the Sandhills Holiday Park.
6.7 Boats are only permitted at either location by prior arrangement.
